My New Body Image Outlook
I started loving my body after having children. It took me a while too. I would look back at pictures when I was younger and long to have that body I was so insecure about at that time. After each pregnancy, I would work hard and get back into clothing that fit me prepregnancy, but I was still not satisfied. Then one day, I looked in the mirror and decided to accept this vessel that houses my essence. I am a mom of four, and I have changed, and change is inevitable. I felt like I lost so much time hating myself when I was younger, so now the rest of the time I have, I will love the aging me and all the stretch marks that are in tow.
I don’t think there is a perfect body and that we just need to focus on loving and accepting our own individual bodies – although this is of course sad with the media pushing an “ideal” which doesn’t exist. Great blog post

Thank you, Laura. I agree with you; we have to love our bodies.
Everyone should love the body they have. As long as you’re fueling it with good foods and exercise, embrace it. <3
100% agreed.
Such a positive post promoting self love and that there is no such thing as the perfect body image. More people need to read this and be aware that they are beautiful
Thank you so much. We have to learn to love the skin we are in.
Accepting your body is really important, especially as teenagers. Thank you so much for your tips and for writing this!
Thank you. The teenage years are so critical.
I like your attitude regarding body image. We should maintain healthy weight and also don’t fall prey to unrealistic body image standards set up by commercial outlets.
Thank you.
We focus too much on the external and not enough on the internal. If we taught self-love and mindfulness everything else would fall into place. It’s such a difficult world with technology esp on younger people to look and act a certain way to feel seen. Thank you for sharing your inspiring words.
You’re welcome. It is particularly worrying the impact that technology has on the now generation.
I used to have a lot of body image issues right after having a surgery I needed due to health reasons. At this point, I just do my best to be healthy and that is beautiful in my eyes, I can’t control the scars and medical appliances but I can control how I take care of myself. This has helped me.
Great perspective.
Very powerful message wow! I can’t agree more, the perception of a perfect body image should change.
Thank you
Nice read
Thank you.
Well said.
Thank you.
Beautiful read as usual. I think it’s a message that needs to be preached more. Love your own skin/body. I’m working on that.
Thank you and yes we have to learn to love ourselves exactly as we are.
