We are a smoothie family; we love to mix flavours and colours. If you like to experiment as much as we do, you need to try our carrot, cantaloupe, and mango smoothie blend. It is delicious and smooth and works well as a beverage to provide some chill on humid summer days.
Cantaloupe has a kind of musky flavour, and it is not a favourite among the kids. However, when added to the carrot and mango smoothie, its taste is masked by the other ingredients.
Smoothies are a great way to get your picky eaters to get their daily required fill of fruits and veggies. My daughter, Anayah, dislikes avocadoes, I know, right, who doesn’t like avocadoes, but she loves it once it’s in a smoothie. If your children are like mine and love to drink any beverage from a fancy cup with a straw, this should work well.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Ingredients
2 cantaloupes
2 mangoes
4 carrots
Method
Cut up the cantaloupe and place it in the freezer for about 45 minutes.
Place frozen cantaloupe, sliced mangoes, and carrots in a juicer.
The frozen cantaloupes give the juice the consistency of a smoothie. Using frozen cantaloupe is not necessary; you can use cantaloupes without freezing them. The texture will be liquid, which is fine too; it does not affect the flavour, just the texture.
Yields about 6 servings
Try this concoction and leave your comments. Let me know how you like it.
This looks really good, and healthy! Thanks for sharing!
